Format
Submit one good-likeness photograph, cropped to 35 mm wide by 45 mm high. Both rounded and square corners are accepted, and the photograph may be in color or black and white.
Composition and pose
The face must be shown directly from the front with the entire face and head visible. Both eyes and pupils must be clearly visible, and the person must look at the camera.
Pupil-to-chin measurement
The distance from the pupil to the tip of the chin must be between 14 and 17 mm in the photograph.
Focus, lighting and background
The photograph must be of good quality and sharp, with focus on the pupil. The face must be evenly lit and the background must be light and free of shadows.
Glasses
Dark or tinted glasses are not allowed. Ordinary glasses may be worn only when the eyes and pupils remain clearly visible and there are no reflections in the lenses.
Headwear
Headwear or similar items must not be worn unless the Swedish Transport Agency has approved an exception in advance.
Exceptions
Exceptions may be allowed in certain cases. Contact the Swedish Transport Agency for guidance before submitting the application.
